Coffs Harbour's 2022 Economic Outlook

Coffs Harbour (home of the Big Banana) is deemed as a major regional centre on the Mid North Coast with strong population growth and commercial prospects.  There is an optimistic outlook for Coffs Harbour during 2022; the region's Gross Product is estimated at almost $4 billion annually, representing 1% of NSW's Gross State Product. It hosts 6200 local businesses and 32000 jobs. Since 2010 Coffs Harbour has received significant infrastructure upgrades. 

Many future plans at local and state government levels have been implemented with the promise of long term investment and growth. The town's airport was completed in 2017, bringing an investment of $12 million to the region. $30 million of investment went into commercial office and industrial construction. 

Coffs Harbour's beachfront jetty was upgraded with a plaza, events area and boardwalk. Despite this growth, Coffs Harbour remains a relaxed coastal town, with a refreshing work play vibe. The region maintains housing that is affordable compared to Sydney and other metro cities in NSW.
